Metro to pass through Pantnagar Authority meeting held today
Approves DPR for
Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kasarvadavali Metro corridor
Mumbai, June 3, 2016 – The Honourable Chief Minister and Chairman, MMRDA, Mr.Devendra Fadnavis, during the 140th Authority meeting – held today – accorded approval to Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kawarvadavali Metro Line. The Authority approved Detailed Project Report
(DPR) prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the 32-km Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kawarvadavali Metro-4 corridor with a completion cost of Rs.14,549/- crore. With an aim to complete the project by 2021, the Authority has now recommended the project to the state government for final approval. This project will help connecting Thane area with the city of Mumbai with a modern public transport system and will have a huge impact on the development and areas around the corridor.
