Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT 8.1 10.1-inch tablet with optional Power Keyboard announced

As expected, moments ago at the ongoing Nokia World 2013 event in Abu Dhabi, the Finnish company unveiled the Lumia 2520— its first ever Windows tablet. The 10.1-inch tab running on Windows RT 8.1 will be available in US, UK and Finland later this year, with other markets following soon after. There’s no word
on when the tablet will come to our shores.

The Lumia 2520 flaunts a 10.1-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features included are 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, 32GB of internal storage and an 8,000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, which Nokia says is good enough for 25 days on standby mode.
Like other Lumias, this tablet has some strong photo-clicking abilities featuring a 6.7-megapixel camera at the back with ZEISS optics and according to Nokia takes good photos even in low light. On the software front, it runs on Windows RT 8.1.
Nokia is also bundling apps exclusive apps like Nokia Storyteller, Nokia Video Director, HERE Maps and games like Dragons Adventure, which it jointly developed with DreamWorks Animation. The tab will also come preinstalled with apps like Nokia Music and Mix Radio, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Tablet buyers will have an option to buy the Nokia Power Keyboard, which is a keyboard cover ala Microsoft’s Touch Cover. In addition to featuring a keypad and a trackpad, the Power Keyboard also offers five hours of extra battery life.
The Lumia 2520 is priced at $499 (Rs 30,000 approximately), and the optional Nokia Power Keyboard will be available for $149 (Rs 9,200 approximately).
