Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (510) announced in India

Samsung today announced the Galaxy Note 510 (Galaxy Note 8.0) in India at its annual Samsung Forum event. The Galaxy Note 510, which was announced globally at MWC last week, will compete with Apple’s iPad mini with its
8-inch display along with Samsung’s S Pen stylus input. The key differentiating factor, for most users in India, would be the fact that the tablet can also be used as a phone.
On the specifications front, the Galaxy Note 510 sports an 8-inch 1280×800 pixel display, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and will come in 16GB and 32GB variants. It also sports a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. It weighs in at 338 grams and is handy enough to be held in one hand while using. It also comes with a massive 4,600mAh battery, which would be critical when the device is used as a phone. It runs on Android Jelly Bean.
[update] Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 8.0 (510) in India in the next 4-5 weeks and will announce the pricing close to the launch.
